Meet The Founder
I like to think that our Global Garage franchisees are on the noble mission to restore the original purpose of the residential garage and give homeowners back their garage.
Lance comes from a rich career on both sides of the franchise industry. Early on, he discovered that no one would hire him so, at the ripe old age of 24 he opened a Dairy Queen in Kent, WA that he built from the ground up. 15 years, 2 stores and thousands of Blizzards later, he decided to work on the other side of franchising with the goal of one day becoming the Franchisor of his own Franchise. Lance quickly learned the ins and outs of being a franchisor by becoming an associate with FranNet, a franchise brokering company. That experience helped him understand the value of finding the right franchise for the right person.
Next came two different stops with restaurant franchises where he owned master developer rights to different territories. In this capacity he worked directly with the franchisor and the franchisees, helping them develop their stores and then managing the markets. This gave him the experience of learning how to do things the right way and the wrong way inside of these systems.
With all of this experience Lance now set out on a mission to find a company to turn into a franchise of his own. After searching high and low, he found a company that was perfect. Global Garage Flooring & Design met his criteria which was to offer a franchise that was fun, interesting and makes money for the franchisees. Franchisees that are making money and having fun are just better people to work with. When Lance isn’t working on Global Garage he enjoys fly fishing, exercising, river rafting, and family time.
